The Group is comprised of international consultants headed by, Mr George Kuru (Forestry, Carbon and REDD expert), and Mr. Paul Pearson (Project Management and Partnership liaison), bringing together diverse skills and capabilities in the one Group.

Initially formed to assist the Indonesian Government with the formulation of national policies in the field of Rural Sector Development and coordination of the implementation of policies in the Development of Disadvantaged Regions; GMP has developed its charter to assist and partner with NGOs, Corporate entities and Private Foundations as well as Government Departments.

With almost 25 years of combined experience in Indonesia, The GMP Group is able to offer “on the ground” assistance and cooperation with foreign financial donors and international investors.

Paul Pearson

Paul Pearson is a seasoned professional who has worked in a number of areas of the IT industry; starting in Computer Operations, moving into Change, Problem and Configuration Management then, Project Management and Technical Consulting.

After many years as an independent senior consultant providing business development, project management and technical consulting services, Paul saw the time was right to establish The GMP Group in 2010.

George Kuru

President Director and senior consultant at Ata Marie Group Ltd, an Indonesian based consultancy, offering land management and forestry advisory services. George held senior positions in leading forest industry consulting firms prior to establishing Ata Marie Group Ltd.

George is a forest industry professional who has worked in Asia, the Pacific, Africa and Europe. His expertise is land and natural resource evaluation - with specific knowledge and expertise in forest measurement and evaluation.
